My name is Max, I live in Switzerland and I've always liked taking photos. For a long time I was just using my phone, wishing to buy a better camera some day. That day came in 2021, when I bought my first film camera, a used Canon A-1. I had never thought about buying a film camera, but after seeing and hearing about the re-emergence of film, I was suddenly obsessed by the idea of making physical images on celluloid film.
The beauty of film lies in its limitations, the fixed light-sensitivity, the limited amount of images per roll and the time it takes, until you can see the pictures. But as Leonardo da Vinci said: Art lives from constraints and dies from freedom.
